Glycerin soaps contain glycerin, an ingredient of oil or fat. Glycerin is a humectant, which is a non-oily ingredient that attracts moisture. This soap is most different from other soaps because of its transparency. Clear soaps that are highly glycerinated contain nearly 15%-20% of pure glycerin. Glycerin soap is made by the melting and continual heating of soap that is partly dissolved in high-alcohol until it is clear. This soap is rich in vegetable glycerol and made once caustic soda and natural vegetable oil are combined together. Glycerin soap is rich in coconut oil and palm, which work together to make the skin much softer. The high content of glycerin helps to keep the natural levels of moisture in the skin. The ingredients in this type of soap are formulated to be suited for all skin types, normal to oily.
